Program Phases

Recovery. Discipleship. Graduation.

The Potter’s House of Ruth offers a Four Phase program to connect with the needs of the individual.  All women begin at Phase 1 and progress dependent upon their individual growth and needs.

Phase 1

Phase One is a time of transition and orienting students to a life of rigorous Discipleship and Recovery. In “Phase One” there is a daily schedule completion form to be handed in at the end of each day. The student will have checked off all completed assignments, readings and groups, answered questions in a thoughtful and comprehensive way and given explanations for any missed items. Additional features of Phase One include random drug and alcohol screenings, prohibited use of cell phones, and other regulations to provide a clear focus on the individuals recovery.

Phase 2

Phase Two is a time of transition from surrender and salvation to restoration and healing internally and externally. While it continues to emphasize a life of rigorous discipleship and recovery the focus of recovery begins to center on taking responsibility and individualized change thru Christ.  Students will take more responsibility for their appointments and will complete 10 employee-like hours each week. Any gifts offered in response to services provided will be made available for future phase one scholarships.”

phase 3

Phase Three provides a time of transition from taking responsibility and internal healing to restoring relationships and finally moving toward walking out the journey in a supportive environment. Employment begins while intensive recovery and hands-on supervision and support continues to be in place.

PHASE 4

Phase Four provides a safe and affordable long-term housing opportunity in a Christ-Centered environment within a supervised and supportive setting with weekly Bible studies, continuing counseling and twelve step group participation, and a positive, safe environment for on-going, more self-directed, discipleship and growth.
